Posting Nutcracker photos!

Here are a few more previews from the Nutcracker performance. I am now posting the proofs by dance, starting with the beginning of Act 11. Once I finish the second Act, I will post Act 1, probably in reverse order, ending with the party scene, which will be the largest gallery.

I am enjoying going through the Nutcracker photos and keep finding more that I like. I may end of doing another post to show how talented these dancers are!

The performances were last weekend and it was so much fun to photograph these talented dancers once again! They are beautiful, poised and incredibly talented.

Here is the first preview, I will post another one over the weekend and will start to load proofs by dance very soon.

Children of the Light

I recently participated in an art exhibit at our church in which we each had a book of the Bible to represent in our art form and my book was 1 Thessalonians.

The verse that was my inspiration was 1 Thessalonians 5:5 'For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness.'  I thought the image of children playing would help to show the positive nature of 1 Thessalonians and the joy and love conveyed in this letter from Paul.

I took this image in October 2008 and it is of my daughter and 3 nieces. I used photoshop to simulate a painting effect.

Way too long

I can't believe how long it has been since I have updated my blog. I have been meaning to post many things, but time just got away from me.

This session was just after his one year old birthday and he was quite a mover. Most of the time his mom and I were just chasing behind! I am grateful for all the times I have photographed sports so I could keep up.
