best in show

I have participated in a small, local photo exhibition and competition for the past few years. This year there were around 50 entries and I was surprised and happy to see that one of my images was selected as Best in Show. I have to brag since the photo is of my daughter. When she saw the ribbons, she was not shy about announcing that she won!

So pretty!

I had another beauty for first communion photos. We ventured around their backyard and took some photos inside and the whole time she was very sweet!

Happy Mother's Day! Mine has been very relaxing and low-key!

Here are some photos from the second game. They played well and check out the photo of #44 scoring!

Girls Lacrosse - Post 1

I had the opportunity to photograph girls lacrosse. There was finally a nice day (too much rain lately). I really like watching lacrosse, although when taking photos, I don't watch in the same way as a spectator.

The girls are very talented! It was an action packed game!

Dancers - part 2

This young dancer was full of spunk and grins! She also had some pretty impressive moves!

She certainly impressed my daughter who was compelled by the cool costumes to get into one herself. The two girls became fast friends during the photo session and had all sorts of plans for playdates!

I also got to photograph her beautiful mom, who dances and instructs.

Dancers - part 1

I photographed two very pretty dancers recently. Today's post will be the older girl. She had some great poses and dance actions. She also had very natural smiles! Here is just a small sample of our session.

Tomorrow I will post a preview of the younger dancer.

Monkeys, a big dog and an adorable 1 year old!

Turning 1 is a fun time for photo sessions! This little boy was so quick, he wore his mom and I out! He loved his monkey chair and was so cute climbing into it and giving us big smiles.

He also loved the big dog that seemed twice his size!

He's learning to walk and will keep his family on their toes.
