It's been a long time

Since I last posted here, I have been doing the following:

had a short, but wonderful vacation at the beach and in DC with my 2 kids and great friends,

had a long, tiring drive from West Chester to Northwest Arkansas with my 2 kids,

moved into a new house,

proofed lots of photos,

created about 12 new canvas prints for the house,

painted 3 rooms,

met some new friends

and had many trips to Walmart (my husband's new employer) for everything from groceries to shower curtains and rods to paint to school supplies, etc!

We are starting to feel more settled in our new house and with the kids in school since mid-August, we are finally having a daily routine. They start school very early here, so I can't afford to stay up as late as I would like!

I will be sharing some photos soon of the house transformation, canvases and other projects, but for today, here are some from our mini vacation.

Last sesson at the beach

This was my last beach session for this summer and I'm a little sad. We had to compete for space with a huge family of over 50 people, but managed to find some nice spots. The first time I photographed the girls, the younger one was shy and not wanting to smile for me at all. Last year she was better and this time she was a star! Her big sister was great as always and the two together were the best.

A fun time

It's always interesting to photograph these beautiful girls. Their moms always have great outfits and cool ideas. I get a kick out of trying to get them to look natural and give me a good smile. Sometimes, they even help me out!

Tomorrow I will have another preview from my last Jersey beach session and then I will post an update on my move.

Lucky baby girl

I think this little baby girl is quite fortunate to have two very sweet older sisters to look up to! Also, it's pretty cool to have a beach vacation before you even reach 2 months old!

Moving

I am spending my last weekend living in West Chester, as we are moving to northwest Arkansas. My husband started a new job in early April, so for the last few months, we have been apart. It has been a really tough time and we are very sad to be leaving. We have been so fortunate to have such great friends here.

My plan for my photography business is to continue in our new location. I also am planning periodic trips back to West Chester and will accomodate portrait requests during those trips.

For my clients that want to still order products from me, no problem. Please allow me a little extra time and don't hestitate to contact me with any questions.

On a happier note, I had three incredible beach sessions last weekend and will be blogging them soon!

Challenging

These two little twin boys were a bit of a challenge as they both have strong wills and mostly wanted to go in different directions! But, that just makes getting some fun photos of them even more worthwhile. Their sister was a dream and looked beautiful in her first communion dress!

A really nice client

I first photographed this woman with some of her family after she won a session from a silent auction. Then we had a session with her niece and children in the fall and this time it was with her nephew's family.
